French fries with Coconut Oil
Are French fries cooked in coconut oil actually healthy? The answer is yes! Coconut oil is a traditional fat that is really good for you.
When fried in coconut oil, French fries are healthy and filled with nutrients. (Also delicious)
Having said that, there's a trick — not just any coconut oil will do.
You need to use organic expeller-pressed coconut oil. It is important to point out, unlike Virgin coconut oil, organic expeller-pressed coconut oil has no coconut oil odor or taste. So it's just like using flavorless vegetable oil. Your French fries won’t taste like coconut!
WHY NOT USE CANOLA AND OTHER OILS?
Unlike coconut oil, Canola and other oils are stripped of their nutrient value.
Canola, Corn and Soybean oils are highly processed, bleached, deodorized, and hydrogenated making French fries fried in these oils really bad for you.
