French fries with Coconut Oil

Are French fries cooked in this coconut oil actually healthy? The answer is yes! Coconut oil is a traditional fat that is really good for you.

When fried in this coconut oil, French fries are healthy and filled with nutrients. (Also delicious)

Having said that, there's a trick — not just any l will do.

You need to use organic expeller-pressed coconut oil. coconut oil is important to point out, unlike Virgin coconut oil, organic expeller-pressed coconut oil has no coconut oil odor or taste. So it's just like using flavorless vegetable oil. Your French fries won’t taste like coconut!



Unlike coconut oil, Canola and other oils are stripped of their nutrient value.

Canola, Corn and Soybean oils are highly processed, bleached, deodorized, and hydrogenated making French fries fried in these oils really bad for you.

Recipe inspired by:



  1. Soak potatoes in 2 cups of warm water for 60 minutes. Remove from water, and dry thoroughly on paper towels.
  2. Heat oil in deep-fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Add potatoes, and cook until golden, 5 to 6 minutes. drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste.
