Tomato Basil Bruschetta
Bruschetta is the perfect appetizer for parties! This recipe is so light and full of fresh flavors. Here is how to make it:
Ingredients
- Omega Nutrition products in this recipe: 1 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar, 1 tbsp Flaxseed Oil, 2 tbsp Avocado Oil
- 1 baguette, French bread, or similar Italian bread
- Ripe tomatoes (about 1 1/2 pounds)
- 6 to 8 fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced or chopped
- 1 medium onion
- Sprinkle of Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Salt & pepper
Method
- Brush sliced baguette with avocado oil and bake for 15min (pre-heat oven to 450F)
- Chop in small pieces tomato, onion, and fresh basil
- Add two tablespoon of Omega Flax Oil and stir
- Don’t forget salt and pepper
- When you’re ready to serve, drain the excess tomato juice and top each toast with the mixture
- FINAL TOUCH: drizzle with Omega Balsamic Vinegar
- Serve promptly for freshness
